K&N 57 Series Fuel Injection Performance Air Intake Systems (FIPK)

K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake Systems are truly state-of-the-art. The system starts with the largest conical shaped high-flow air filter K&N could fit into the engine compartment while using factory holes and mounting points. This extra filter size provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard K&N O/E replacement filter that is limited to the size of the factory air box. The oversized air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is attached to a rotationally molded tube made from interlaced High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). This process allows K&N to precisely shape the tube to reduce turbulence and accelerate airflow into the engine. This is why some of K&N’s tubes have unique shapes that are specifically engineered for each application. Finally the tube is connected to the engine with adapters made from high strength materials such as silicon and reinforced nylon and ensures long life.

How High-Flow Technology Works

The K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake System increases horsepower by eliminating airflow obstruction in your engine. Restriction of air flow between an air filter and an engine robs even the most powerful engine of horsepower. K&N air intake kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the standard air filter and the entire air path to the engine. The aerodynamically engineered conduit that makes up the 57 Series FIPK Air Intake System drives a massive amount of air into an engine, which translates into power.

A Complete Air Delivery System that is Easy to Install

K&N Intake Systems are designed to completely replace the factory air intake assembly with an aerodynamically engineered tube and an oversized conical air filter. Most systems come with a heat shield that isolates the air filter element from the warm air generated by the engine. Cooler air results in better performance and power. A typical installation can be done with a screwdriver, pliers and a ratchet set in 90 minutes or less. K&N specifically engineers its air intake systems to use factory holes and mounting points, making installation simple. The vast majority of our air intake systems do not require any cutting or drilling.
